Kosta Browne is among the most distinguished producers of Pinot Noir in North America. Since their inception, they’ve made Wine Spectator’s Top 100 List six times, including Wine of the Year in 2011. Not one to leave well enough alone, Michael Browne decided to create a new label to pursue even greater heights. The wine is called CIRQ, an allusion to the high-wire and fire-swallowing acts he performed as a teen.
The site is quirky and confident, like Michael, and includes a video homage to Sonoma’s Russian River Valley. It was originally designed by Byron Hoffman & Alex Chrisman.
